Instability?

In a Reuters article; World warns of disaster if no debt deal done, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde said:

"Instability is never a good idea, never a good idea. And this level of uncertainty, the trepidation arising from August 2, is bringing about a lot of instability."

I think that "Instability" is not what the problem is.,  The problem is, as ever, that life has consequences and there are simply a great number of people that can't quite abide that.

Instability is not a bad thing.  It's overcoming adversity that makes people better and makes a people great.  Avoiding it, is to avoid improvement and greatness.  We have a "crisis" now, not because of external forces or issues beyond our control, but because, and almost entirely to the extent of, our attempts to avoid consequences.
