UPDATE: TROOP REACTION H/T: Maggie and HotAir
Filed under the heading; "Picture worth a thousand words."

Original Story: John Kerry had this to say:
“If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq and not the president who got us stuck there, they’re crazy." This was in reaction to the reaction of a number of people to this that he'd had to say earlier:
“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq. Well, sir, you didn't mention the President. Perhaps you didn't mean it as it sounded, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt to the extent that it's entirely possible that you either didn't think about what you were saying at the time (in which case I question your judgement), or still haven't learned from the 2004 election that when the cameras are running and you say something to a group that they want to hear that contradicts what you said to another group because it's what they want to hear, you will likely get called on it.
And it gets better....
In his overheated overreaction he also said this:
"I’m sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did." SEN John McCain is now calling for SEN Kerry to appologize and it's nice that a Senate peer, who doesn't resemble SEN Kerry's characterization at all, would do that, but there's a myriad of us, who are serving, who also don't resemble either characterization that are doing likewise. |
